Can I put solid hardwood over a concrete slab?
In Florida we usually advise against it, because the slab gives off moisture and solid wood reacts to it. Engineered wood is real wood and handles it, which is why most homes here get that instead.
Which plank width should I choose?
Wider boards show more grain and make a room look larger, and narrow boards suit a smaller or older house. We leave samples of both on your floor before you decide.
How long does wood floor installation take?
A few rooms is three to five days, a whole house one to two weeks, plus the time the wood sits in the house first. You get both dates when you sign.
What does hardwood flooring cost?
We price each home individually, with clear upfront pricing rather than a vague range, and tailor the scope to your budget. The estimate is free.
Can I supply my own flooring?
Yes, and most contractors will not. Order about ten percent over the measured area for cuts and waste, and we price the labor separately.
What warranty do I get?
One year on our labor. Anything needing attention is ours to put right.
